Review:
After listening to Jennifer's live (on May 26, 2026), I was inspired to give a brutally honest review of the album "Pureflow part 1."
1. Interlude tracks of previous albums have so far been so cool and impactful but this time around in Pureflow, it sounded more like a conversation. But what all interlude tracks (including this one) have in common is that they make a statement that Fearnots can resonate with and be impressed by because of their truthfulness and authenticity. It's honestly my least favourite interlude out of them all because it just sounds like background music but it needs to be there for the whole story to be complete.
2. What I love most about Boompala is its hopeful message. The repetitiveness hypnotizes you into the song and the choreography is just mesmorizing. It could get mundane if overly listened to so I try to listen infrequently but it sure is catchy.
3. Celebration is such a club bop! I love the bass line and the techno beats. The bridge though!!! Everyone complains about how short it is. I wished it was more hardcore style. I wish there was a hardcore remix (completely overhauled).
4. My favourite part about Creatures is that you can hear "I want Chaewon Chaewon Chaewon Chaewon" - this should be the cheering chant. If I hadn't know that, I wouldn't have loved this song as much. It's a fun mainstream pop rock song that has a Taylor Swift feel to it.
5. When I heard "iffy iffy" on the highlight medley, I thought it would be my favourite of the album but my mind changed when I heard the full song as it just felt like it went on and on. That's not to say that I hate it; I feel that the production has room for improvement.
6. "Need Your Company" is my favourite song of the album. I wish it was longer as many Fearnots would agree but the short length has a purpose so I will accept YJ's intentions.
7. Besides the aforementioned track, I also really like "Sonder." It has pizzazz.
8. Saki expresses conversations so it lacks variation in vocal melodies but the lyrics are still interesting. You can never go wrong with LE SSERAFIM lyrics though; they are always top quality and fit the group's concept so well.
9. I feel like "Irony" has catchy latin vibes.
10. "Trust Exercise" sounds very familiar from the beginning instrumental so it lacks originality but it's nice easy-listening music.
11. I didn't expect "Liminal Space" to just be a recording of the Fimmies talking. It was refreshing and endearing. I loved it because it was so real and no other Kpop album has done anything like this before.
All in all, all the vocals are always on point and I look forward to the next part of Pureflow.
